Final Fantasy 4 DS Reviews
Square-Enix has developed one of the most enjoyable games never thought possible. That game is Final Fantasy IV; developed for the Nintendo DS. Playing the orginial Final Fantasy 4 for the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), the games has been revamped, balanced, and given certain new features that makes the game very enjoyable.
What makes this version unique is it’s new 3D graphics, voice, and rewritten story phrases. The orginial Final Fantasy 4 for the US was not predicated to be that successful. When I was 9 years of age, I was one of the few kids who played Final Fantasy and I remember saving my lunch money for it. What made the orginial Final Fantasy 4 at times agonizing was the generic story line. The DS version of this game has been made to be more user friendly, adds a more complete story, and best of all … the characters reflect today’s modern times (old FF4 was very stiff).
You’ll enjoy your favorite characters: Cecil, Golbez, Yang, Cid, Palom, Parom, Zemus, Tellah, Edward, Rosa, and many others. The game still composes of the same cities, including the infamous Kingdom of Baron.
The graphics are amazing for playing on a DS and as always, the story is well written. The sound has been improved, but I feel at times that the difficulity of the game has been reduced. In the end, you’ll find yourself playing it again.
Graphics - 10 / 10
Story - 10 / 10
Sound - 9.5 / 10
Difficulity - 7 / 10
Replayability Factor - 9/ 10
Overall, I give this game a 9 out 10 rating.
